About Me

A Little Bit of This A little Bit of That

Life here has been nothing short of dull.
And I can't complain, I have loved every bit of it...and everything in between.

I have done several house projects, all of which I will share in the coming weeks.
Jack has come home to visit us for the holidays! That was my only Christmas wish, that he would get leave.

Claire has been busy keeping me on my toes, as if Isabelle needed help in that area. :-)
Two weeks after Jack left, the girls and I packed up and made the 19 hour drive to see him in Mississippi. Currently I am enjoying 60+ degree weather! Back in Ohio it is a high of 12! Oh flip flops how I love you! Feels good to enjoy you during January.

Here are some bits of Jack's visit home for the holidays

Christmas Morning:

Jack and his girls! Isabelle was so happy to have him home, as was I. But she just loved having her buddy back. I simply cannot compare to the bond they share.

Santa fulfilled her wish, a MobiGo.

Delight

Digging for Stocking goodies.

Claire was fond of the doll that peeked out from her stocking.

I also have been busy snapping as much pictures of Claire as possible. She is growing and changing so fast and I am trying to capture all her different looks and expressions.

This one went on our Christmas card collage.

Isabelle had also asked Santa for an ironing board. One day she may dread that task, but I bet it is more fun when performing it with beautiful dress up clothes.

Isabelle also received her first professional haircut. I have always loved it long and gave it little trims myself, but after numerous fights with the comb after her showers, I decided a cut would be best.
Notice she is a little nervous.....as was I, but I kept a smile on my face for her sake.
Once it was time to style the hair she was all smiles. Now she looks for reasons to go and get it cut.

Isabelle also had her first slumber party with a friend. I have never sent her anywhere other then her grandparents for a sleepover, and she has never had a friend sleep over before this slumber party. And a party it was! The girls had a dress up show, played house, watched movies, ate goodies and crashed on the living room couch with sugar comas!

Isabelle on her bed reading books, her pal, Baylee on the floor playing with the MobiGo.

Within 10 minutes of getting the party started! :-)

We also discovered the joy of a Wii. We do not own one, and I have never played one until recently at my in-laws. Let's just say I know what I want for my very own. So fun. And Isabelle loved the bowling, among many other games.

I am currently blogging to you from Mississippi, so here are some shots from our current get away!
Claire and I hanging out on the couch in our condo.....which over looks then ocean. :-)

Walking on the beach. The sun was in our eyes. Isabelle is maybe trying to hula?

Jack and Isabelle sea shell hunting!

I love this shot. I only wish Jack didn't have that bag in his hand.

Can't wait to post the house updates! Now I am off to read up on all of you!
